Alongside the album announcement, Adam has also released the single and video for ‘All For Rum’. Filmed at the iconic site of “sweetest nectar in the world” in Bundaberg, Adam puts a cheeky spin on the classic quote “all for one and one for all”.

The track joins already released singles, ‘Ramblin’ Fever’, featuring Lee Kernaghan, and the album’s opener ‘Highway Number One’ which quickly climbed to #1 on the iTunes chart after it’s release in March this year. Originally a Merle Haggard tune, ‘Ramblin’ Fever’ saw Adam and Leeearn a Tamworth Golden Guitar nomination for Vocal Collaboration of the Year (2021).

To write and record his fifteenth studio album, he brought in good friends, collaborators and co-writers such as Graeme Connors and Colin Buchanan. There’s a reunion with Beccy ColeDarren Coggan and Felicity Urquhart. With the blessing of Joy McKean, the late Slim Dusty makes an appearance on Adam’s version of ‘Angel Of Goulburn Hill’.

In a nutshell SONGS FROM HIGHWAY ONE is about adventure, freedom and looking forward while, with a writer’s taste for nostalgia, taking the time to look through the rear-view mirror of life as well. Recorded at The Music Cellar on the NSW Central Coast with engineer Jeff McCormackAdam relished the role of producer on the project. “I’ve had all sorts of different producers through the years,” he recalls, “and I just thought, ‘Why don’t I have a crack at it myself?’ It’s another challenge and a whole lot more work than I actually expected. I learnt a hell of a lot too.”

The irony of timing and writing a record about the freedom of travelling was not lost on Adam.“Funnily enough, timing’s everything. I recorded an album about travelling all over Australia, and then – for a time – that’s the one thing weren’t allowed to do!”

In 2021 Adam will return to his love for being on the road, embarking on the Highway One Tour.  Beginning in February 2021, Adam has put together a schedule of tour dates that add up to become the largest solo tour he has ever undertaken. Adam will perform over 40 shows across NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD and SA from February to September 2021.

Joining Adam on the extensive national tour is Raechel Whitchurch, a multi-talented singer-songwriter and musician who grew up performing in her family’s travelling band The Lees. Now an accomplished solo artist, Raechel is excited to be joining Adam on the road as the opening act and performing her new music live onstage.

After a lengthy time away from the road, the ever-popular Adam is raring to go with the SONGS FROM HIGHWAY ONE tour featuring the new songs, many of his classic hits as well as Adam’s engaging and entertaining stories from his travels around the country.

ADAM HARVEY ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE FEATURING LEE KERNAGHAN AND THE HIGHWAY ONE TOUR OVER 40 SHOWS ACROSS AUSTRALIA IN 2021

ADAM HARVEY ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE FEATURING LEE KERNAGHAN AND THE HIGHWAY ONE TOUR OVER 40 SHOWS ACROSS AUSTRALIA IN 2021

Highly acclaimed Australian country music artist Adam Harvey today announces the release of his new single ‘Ramblin’ Fever’ featuring Lee Kernaghan via Sony Music Entertainment Australia and the much anticipated Highway One Tour.

A cover of Merle Haggard’s classic, the collaboration between two country music greats came about organically. Lee and I are both massive Merle fans and we started singing this song together on the Country Music Cruise. It was Lee’s idea to record this song as a duet one day,” explains Harvey. The song is about being addicted to being on the road and it tied in so well with SONGS FROM HIGHWAY ONE so it was a perfect fit. Lee and I had a ball recording this together.”

Coinciding with the release single, Adam has also announced his Highway One Tour. Beginning in February 2021, directly after his annual pilgrimage to the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Adam has put together a schedule of tour dates that add up to become the largest solo tour he has ever undertaken.

The tour will feature songs from his forthcoming album SONGS FROM HIGHWAY ONE, including ‘Highway Number One’ which was released in March of this year and quickly reached the #1 chart position on iTunes and has notched up over 100,000 streams. After the initial success of the song, Adam decided to postpone the scheduled album release and tour due to the COVID19 crisis. Having made the decision to wait, Adam is looking forward to getting on the road again to perform, bringing back his much loved music to eager live audiences.

SONGS FROM HIGHWAY ONE will be released at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2021 featuring songs about places, people and events, initially inspired by watching a television show about the huge rise in caravan and campervan sales across Australia.

Adam said, “I have been lucky enough to travel across this beautiful country for 25 years, and I was really excited to see that so many other people of all ages are getting to experience the amazing feeling and freedom of being on the road.

Adam has won eight Golden Guitar awards, achieved Gold and Platinum sales and has sold over half a million albums. He was also awarded the CMA Global Artist Award in Nashville and is the recipient of a Centenary Medal in recognition of his charity work. After a lengthy time away from the road, the ever-popular Adam is raring to go with the SONGS FROM HIGHWAY ONE Tour featuring the new songs, many of his classic hits as well as Adam’s engaging and entertaining stories from his travels around the country.

Today, acclaimed country music star Adam Harvey has released his latest single ‘Highway Number One’ through Sony Music Entertainment Australia. To coincide with the single, the official music video was also released today.

Inspired by his years touring around the beautiful country he calls home, the multiple ARIA Award nominee and 8 time Golden Guitar winner wrote ‘Highway Number One’ about the joys travelling can bring. Speaking on the track Adam says, “ I’ve toured right around the country, across it, up and down it, every which way you could possibly go and I’ve been lucky enough to do that for over 20 years. There is a feeling of freedom when you’re constantly on the move, it’s really amazing and very addictive. I thought if I write a song about it, it might connect with people on the roads, it might also encourage people to take the leap, buy the caravan and explore this amazing country as you travel along Highway Number One”.

Stepping into the shoes of the producer for the first time, recording Highway Number One’ was a completely new experience for Adam,“Going into the studio was pretty daunting at first I must admit, but I really enjoyed the process”. When producing and mixing the record, the country veteran went in with a clear vision for the direction of the sound, “I knew what I wanted to say and exactly how I wanted it to sound. I had this whole concept in my mind and that made it very easy not to get side tracked or lost”.

Getting off track outside of the studio, however, was definitely on the cards for the nomadic Aussie who embarked on an adventure of his own to shoot the official music video. In the video clip Adam ventures north, meeting locals and fellow travelers who share his love of the open road before arriving in Bundaberg where, of course, a trip to the iconic Bundaberg Rum Distillery had to be done. Commenting on the filming of the video, which is directed by award winning producer/director and longtime friend Duncan ToombsAdam remarks, “The whole experience felt more like a boys getaway! To be honest I have never had so much fun recording a video clip”.

Highway Number One’ follows the success of his most recent albums The Nashville Tapes, Harvey’s Backyard BarThe Great Country Songbook Volume II and Family Life and is the first sip from his forthcoming album set for release later this year.

Hay Mate Concert proceeds deliver help to farmers in Tamworth

Hay Mate Concert proceeds deliver help to farmers in Tamworth

Rural Aid’s Buy a Bale program begins delivering hay from the proceeds from the Hay Mate Concert for the Farmers in Tamworth on December 11.

The Hay mate concert was a massive undertaking and featured John Farnham, Guy Sebastian, Daryl Braithwaite, The Veronicas, Andrew Farriss, Jon Stevens, Tim Wheatley, Adam Harvey, Aleyce Simmonds and Nat Conway, all of whom donated their services to raise funds for the farmers during this time of drought.

The Hay Mate concert was supported by the Nine Network who broadcast the event live across Australia raising over $2.8 million dollars. The Today show will also bring the massive hay giveaway to viewers on the day showing Australians their donations being delivered in one of the biggest hay drops in 2018.

The Hay Mate Concert organiser and promoter Glenn Wheatley will present CEO of Rural Aid Charles Alder the cheque from the concert fundraising effort in Tamworth as 255 farmers come to town to collect over 2000 bales of hay to keep their animals alive as the summer bears down. According to Glenn, “This hay drop, and others across NSW, will see the proceeds from Hay Mate delivering support when our farmers need it the most. This is a massive effort on the back of amazing donations from the Australian public.”

Hay Mate Concert proceeds deliver help to farmers in Tamworth

The Tamworth region drop will bring $800,000 in hay to the region. Hay Mate will also be providing gift cards and dog food to the families. Total value of this drop will be in excess of $1,000,000.

Further drops of hay are planned for the Milparinka/Tibooburra/Camerons Corner region (far North West NSW). More than $300,000 of hay and transport has started being delivered.

Deliveries have also started in the Peak Hill/Tomingley/Tullamore region (South West of Dubbo). More than $250,000 of hay and transport. started on the weekend and will continue for the next week.

Other regions to receive hay include Brewarrina, Coonamble and Narrabri.

As the long-term weather predictions talk of a very hot summer, the funds raised from Hay Mate is making sure as much assistance is delivered before Christmas with up to 1500 tonnes of hay being distributed each week across NSW, Qld and SA.

These hay drops, hamper giveaways and fuel cards will help make the Christmas period more bearable for our Aussie farmers. Many have struggled to afford the basics and this generosity will help many families and their towns get through.

“We’ve been able to buy large amounts of hay from South Australia and deliver to hundreds of farmers.”
Charles Alder said.

“Drought is decimating communities across Australia, but with programs like Buy a Bale, and more fundraisers like the Hay Mate Tamworth concert, we can all help these communities to make it out the other side,”

Glenn Wheatley added,’ Thank you to all who supported Hay Mate. Qantas, Toyota, Woolworth, Nine, News Corp and all the generous people from across Australia who donated, we are going to make a difference for the Farmers commencing now.
